The Quiet in Us

Where waves make a beach of the rocky shore
I want so much I get so much more
There on the sweating sand
There where great force meets land

        Where time is nothing more
        Than footprints on the beach
And I feel like a part of the Earth and the air
And the quiet in us each

Where grapes ripen fragrant on gnarled vines
You give me your heart I give you mine
There on the rolling hills
There where my soul lies still

        Where time is nothing more
Than the wind in our face and hair
And I feel like a part of the Earth and the air
And the quiet in us each

Where sun never penetrates to the land
You take my heart and I take your hand
There on dying leaves
There among giant trees

        Where time means nothing more
Than our laughter on the breeze
And I feel like a part of the Earth and the air
And the quiet in us each
I feel like a part of the Earth and the air
And the quiet in us each
I feel like a part of the Earth and the air
And the quiet in us each
